health

My plans have been turned up-side-down! I have been having awful headaches and hurting in my ear and yesterday I went to an emergency room. And today I got to the ear doctor. But she said my ear was fine. But my nose was swollen inside. Probably because of my allergy. Doctor wrote me pills and I went to a x-ray. I'll see a doc on 27th again and I'll get the results. I hope it's all good. After the doc in the morning I literally ran to the harbour and went to a boat. Now I am in Finland!!! Jay came here today morning with the first boat. Too bad I gotta go back to Estonia on 26th already. I get to be here only for 3 days.

I am going to make dinner for Jay and then I'll just read a book. I am reading "The Wedding Girl" by Sophia Kinsella right now. Funny book!

LOL

Jay and I went to the movies yesterday. We hadn't been to the movies for sooo long because there haven't been anything good to watch. But yesterday we still decided to go and pick out one movie that seems good. We ended up watching "Promotheus" which I really liked. A good and interesting movie. When we came home we decided to watcha movie on bed. I downloaded "LOL" (starring Miley Cyrus) and then I cut some watermelon slices and a movie night was totally in! It was a cute and fun movie and watermelon slices were so good that Jay asked for more, but we saved another quater of the watermelon for tonight! Anyway, after the movie we both decided to read a book. And that's how our night end..i fell asleep pretty quickly. He soon after me.
We went to the aftermarket today. It's a new market here in Tallinn where people sell their old things..it's like a garden sale in USA where people sell stuff they don't need anyone. It was pretty cool to see what people are trying to sell and get rid off. After that Jay and I hade lunch at cafe Komeet and then Jay bought himself a handwatch that he wanted so much! Then we went to the foodshop and then straight home. The day was perfect except my headache! :/

Great news!

I forgot to mention that Sharon and Shawny are coming to Estonia in August! They are staying here from 2nd  to 9th August! Yay! We are going to have SO much FUN! :D

Overview

I have been totally enjoying every single day! Some days have been rainy, some sunny. Jay made me a really nice surprise the other day. We went to the zoo, which was great! We walked around about 5 hours, took photos of cute animals and just enjoyed the warm summer day. After the zoo we went home by bus. Jay went straight to the foodshop because we needed mozarella cheese. I went home to start making the pizza. He came home, i put the cheese on the pizza and it went to the oven. When it was ready we had a dinner, and then I felt so sick and tired and I wanted to lay down. Jay was next to me watching tv. And he asked if I wanted to go under the blanket. I said no, but soon I said that yeah, let's go under the blanket. So, when I started taking the bedcover away I saw a little giftbox next to a pillow. I was totally surprised and at first I didn't know what to say or think. But then I took it and saw there was a beautiful gold necklace with safir stone in it. So beautiful! Matches perfectly with my engagement ring! Jay said he wanted to surprise me with it! And he did! I love it! What a surprise :):)
On Friday was a rainy day, but Jay and I still went to my friend's place. We had a BBQ and a party. It was a crazy night. Next morning we went back home and were in the rest of the day.
On Sunday we went to my parent's place. My mom had a birthday party. It was fun there. On Monday mom, dad and Anni went to Sweden, and Jay and I got the car. We took the books to Tallinn and I put them all to my new bookshelf. It looks great now! In Kohila we had a dinner at a local bar and then we spent the rest of the night at my sister's place. Next morning we went to Jay's granny's place and then we went to Pärnu. We had a lunch at Steffani's and went to the Tervise Paradiis (Water Park!). It was fun there, except the fact that Jay hit his head and it was bleeding and it was looking very bad. I was so worried. The lifeguard took care of it, cleaned it and put some band aid on it. He said it actually needs few stitches, but Jay didn't want to hear of it. It is all good now, though.
Yesterday and today Jay and I have been mostly at home. I ordered a new laptop and so yesterday we went out for an hour to get it. And I started feeling so sick. I don't know why. Probably because I had a runny nose and I got a very bad headache. So, we spent the rest of the day in. Jay ordered us pizza and so I didn't have to cook.
I felt good today, cleaned the apartment a bit, did some other stuff, went to the foodshop, made a dinner and a cake for Jay and then Jay and I had homemade mojitos :) Yum!
It's aft6er midnight and I have headache again. I am too tired! Good night!

hotness!!!

Jay and I came back to Estonia on Saturday. When we got to Helsinki we looked around at a shopping center a bit. I got a new dress and a sweater. Jay bought himself a new PC game which made him SO happy. Boys and their toys!
When we were on the ship Jay and I decided to play some cards, so Jay went and bought playing cards. One Russian man joined our game and so the three of us played until we arrived to Tallinn. I must say that I won most of the games! ;)
The weather in Estonia was soooo hot and it felt like sauna. Jay and I went to the foodshop and then straight home. We were at home the rest of the day. But yesterday we decided to go out for a walk. We visited the Flower Festival, walked through Old Town. Then we went to a mall where Jay surprised me with a gift - he wanted to buy me a handbag, I only had to choose one. So nice! I love the handbag we both picked up!!! After that we went to the bookstore and had a nice lunch at Vapiano. The weather was so nice so we decided to sit at the balcony while eating our lunch! I carried my photocam with me and took some photos. When we had finished out lunch we went to a shopping center where we bought some food and two pillows. I finally got a new bedcover, yay! We took our shopping bags home and then went to another shopping center coz we finally had time to buy two chairs for our kitchen table.
Finally back at home, we were both soooo tired. I started making a dinner - macaron salad (Jay wanted!) and I also made an apple-foxberry tosca cake. It was so good! When I finished in the kitchen and finally got to lay down, my legs were hurting..they really needed a rest.
It was nice to watch tv on the bed next to Jay. I fell asleep pretty early.
Jay woke me 9am today. We had breakfast and then I took a shower and got both my fingernails and toe nails done ;) And around 12pm we went to the furniture salon near by our home. I wanted to buy a bookshelf. We looked around and found the one we liked..so I bought it and it'll be delivered on Thursday morning. That means that I can take all my books from Kohila to Tallinn! Then finally all my belongings are in Tallinn where's my home :):)
Jay and I cleaned all our apartment windows today. It's crazy how fast they get dusty because of the cars that drive past. But it looks so nice and clean now...but I suppose not for long. But it's okay.
After the cleaning we both needed to eat. Hehe, work made us hungry. So, we had a proper lunch in our kitchen, sitting on our new chairs. It was nice. Before we got the chairs we didn't eat in the kicthen much coz we had to stand and we didn't like to eat standing.. So, we mostly eat in our bedroom. But now we got to enjoy our meal like most people do - around the kitchen table, sitting on the chair. We ate, we talked...it was very nice!
We are planning to go to the zoo tomorrow if it is a nice weather. We haven't been there for pretty long, so it'll be cool to see all the animals and spend a good day in a fresh air! :)

Some photos of these past few days:

Fresh fruit salad of a banana, kiwi and plum!
Jay got a new PC game!

I made a really small cake, but I still have so much left of it.. Cake anyone??

these simple days

Now it is starting to feel like summer. I went to swimming with dad yesterday. Near here is a very cool swimming place. There are 3 big swimmingpool and a lot of green grass area where people lay down their towels, take sun, have picnicks and enjoy a warm summer day! And it costs only 3,5 euros for a day there. Jay and I decided to go there today, too (yesteday he was too tired to come with me and my dad). We had so much fun today. He even jumped to the pool from these very high platforms. I couldnt even jump from the lowest...too scary for me!
Anyway, on our way back home we decided to go to the Startti foodplace to buy a pizza. We chose our toppings and the pizza was so delicious!
I have been cooking dinners every evening. I like it!
When Jay came home from work yesterday morning he didn't feel like going to bed. So, i woke up too, we watched tv, had breakfast and went to the Lidl (German foodshop). I saw there a really nice blender with a good price. Jay didn't want to buy it coz he said it was so cheap and probably not very good. He told we'd buy a better one in Estonia. But when we were back at home I started talking about it again. I said that I really liked it and I wouldn't use it SO much that I need a very expensive one. Jay told me that if I really like that one and want it, then I can go back and buy it. That's exactly what I did. I knew there was only one left when we saw that earlier that day, so I really hoped it was still there...and it WAS! So, I bought it. When I came home, I made a banana-kiwi smoothie. It was so good! :)
It was a day before yesterday when I decided to go rollerskating and I took my camera with me. I took some photos of near by landscape, flowers and some street signs. I totally love my new camera and I took photos of everything everywhere!

and it's july already!

I am back in Finland. Actually, I was in Estonia for pretty long time. First of all, Jay and I went to Kohila and spend there really fun time. It was Jaan's Day and we had a BBQ, went to the sauna, jumped to the pool while being naked and at the end of the day watched football. It was a great day and we got to eat a lot of good food - fresh salads, different cakes, and lots of different meat (last one not for me, though). We stayed in Kohila for two more days. We went to my sister's place to see their new kitchen and livingroom. It was really pretty. We also went for a walk and visited my grandparents. Grandpa gave me one of his digicameras since I didn't have one and appearently he's hobby is photography so he has a lot of different and very good digicameras. He gave me the one that he bought few years ago and didn't use anymore. I am glad because now I can take more photos that supposedly will have a better quality than these photos that I've took with my cellphone cam. Anyway, soon after Jaan's Day Jay had to go back to Finland, but I stayed in Kohila. I was helping out at my mom's children camp - this year it was a camp for little chefs:P We were teaching them how to cook some food. It was fun, but I was also very tired after each day with 23 children. On the last day we went to Tallinn with the kids and visited marzipan cafe where we all got to make a little marzipan statue. I made a little orange cat :) They also showed us how to make marzipan at home and now I am eager to make some marzipan on my own and use it on the cakes and also make some more cute marzipan statues :) It's fun!
All these days in Kohila I didn't have a access to the Internet because our computer broke down. So that sucked! I talked to Jay on the phone every day though.
In Kohila I also had time to hung out with my friend Laura. I hadn't seen her for a while so it was so good to talk about everything that's been going on :) We were at her place, talked, made a really good fresh summer salad with tunafish and crutons. It was delicious. I hope to be able to see her soon again!
On Sunday I went to my grandpa's 70th birthday party. It was very nice!!!
The next day, on Sunday, I went to Finland. What happened was that I slept in. Jay called me in the morning at 6.30am and asked if I slept in. Yeah, I said. I was so worried and confused and so sad and more worried. He calmed me down, said to change my cothes, take a taxi and go straight to the harbor. That's what I did. So, 15 minutes after I woke up I was already at the harbor walking to the boat! Yeah, I made it on time. The only difference was that I didn't walk there, but took a taxi, and I also didn't have time to eat breakfast. But I took it with me and ate it on the boat. The whole way to Finland I read "Catching Fire" (2nd book of The Hunger Games). I also read it on a train and when I arrived at Jay's place I finished reading it. It was such a good book! Now I am reading the last book which is also very interesting!
I totally enjoy being here with Jay. We walked to the foodshop today and bought food for the whole week. Tomorrow I am going to make tunafish pasta and some white bread with herbs in the oven. On Friday we will go to the sauna and on Saturday we are going home! Jay will have 16 days break from work! Such a great summer break for him :) He needs to rest and relax!
Oh, I just have to mention how much I love this shrimp thingy they sell here at Lidl (German foodshop). These shrimps are in oily marinade with garlics, and it tastes so good if you put it on your bread! Yum! I have been looking for these at shops in Estonia, but I have never found the one they have here. Too bad!
By the way, the weather is so nice here. Today I was sitting on a armchair on the balcony reading a book and I totally enjoyed the hot sun! I wish I had a balcony on my Tallinn's apartment too, but sadly I don't. So, I enjoy the privilege here!:)

So, now some [random] photos I took today:

KitKat minis - one of my fav chocolate!

I just like this little jar with the roses! It's so pretty!

My fav shrimps in the oli and garlic! Delicious!

I just love how they look - so spicy!

sunny, sunny, sunny

I made little ham and cheese pies for Jay the other day. He liked these and asked me to do more. He went to Finland yesterday morning and he's coming back tomorrow morning. So, today I made him more little pies :) When he comes home tomorrow I know he'll be so hungry! I also picked up some recipes from the cooking books that Jay bought me (he bought me 6 cooking books that were on sale!). It means I must cook a lot now. I am going to make chickem fajitas tomorrow for lunch and for dinner I'll make homemade fried potatoes and a big ground beef burger. Plus of course some salad (coz I don't eat meat).
I still have that rhubarb cake left because it's so big. But my sis is coming sleep over tonight, so there won't be much left after we'll have a tea and a piece of cake :)
I finished reading "The Hunger Games" today! Gosh, it was so good! I am going to start reading the second book now, called "Catching Fire". I am so excited to get to know what's going to happen next!
It is such a wonderful weather today. It's sunny and about 17 C degrees outside, maybe more. I went to the eye doctor today. She checked my vision clearity and said I see now 120%...better that they planned :D haha. Very good! When I was going to the doctor's, my shoes started to hurt my heels. So, I went to the drug store to buy band-aid. When I finally put that on my both heels and watched the time I realized I am so late to my appointment. The time was 9.47am and my appointment was 9.50am. I ran to a tram and when I got off the tram I ran so fast to the medicine center. And luckily I was late just 3 minutes. The vision check up took only 3 minutes as well... So, basically I run out of my breath only to be at the center for 3 minutes. Before I went home I went to the shop to buy ham and I also bought a watermelon. At home first thing I did I ate few slices of that delicious and juicy watermelon - it was my first this year! So good!
I am off to my bed now to take a cozy position and read "Catching Fire"! :)

Btw, I finally had an opportunity to eat that frozen yogurt that finally came to Estonia, too! So yummie! I am definitely going to buy it more! I can't wait till they have more flavors and toppings, though!

walking around

I just found few photos that I took in Finland when I was walking with Jay!

Sea of flowers!

Sign says it all...

Attention! This is not dogs' toilet!

A little walk with Jay!

day of rain

It's like a curse that every time when Jay comes to Estonia the weather turns out to be so bad... Yesterday when we arrived it was sunny and nice, but a bit windy. But last night started raining...and it countined today. It havent been raining like this since I don't know when. Oh, and the wind is so strong it might as well blow all hair out of my head. Lol.
Because of the bad weather Jay and I decided to go to the foodmarket by taxi. Before going to the foodshop we went to the bookstore and Jay bought me a cookbook that I have been really wanted to have. We also ate a piece of cake at the bookstore cafe. I ate baked-apple and whortleberry tosca cake which was DELICIOUS! At the foodmarekt we bought quite a lot of food so we wouldn't have to go for food shopping in a while now.
When we wanted to go back home with all these bags we realized neither of us took our cellphones with us. So there rose a problem - how can we call a taxi?? But Jay figured all out. He went to the info table and asked them to call us taxi. Lol. They were nice enough and we got a taxi in 7 minutes :)
At home I made a dinner (more like an early lunch) for Jay and myself. I picked the recipe from the new cookbook that Jay bought me. And I also made a rhubarb cake which came out soooooo good! Definitely one of the best cake I've ever made. I most certainly will make it soon again when there's an occasion. Right now I have quite a lot of it still waiting for eaters. It's just that Jay doesn't like cakes and such sweet things. He likes salty pies. So, it means if I make a cake I must eat it all by myself. That's why I said I will make it again when it's an occation, for example someone's birthday..then there's will be other eaters beside me too! :)
Anyway, now we are just resting, relaxing and watching tv. It's so good to be at home!!!

The delicious rhubarb cake I made :)
