Hello November!

Wow! Time really flies past (it seems I say that at the beginning of every month:P). The older I get, the faster days seem to pass by. Especially work days. It's actually so great to discover that it's Friday again (who wouldn't like that?!). Anyway, last week didn't happen much. Jay and I went to the movies to see The Maze Runner which I liked, but found it very confusing... I think if I had read the book first the movie would have made much more sense. But either way I enjoyed it and I will definitely go to see the second part when it comes out.
Last week I went to the Finnish class only on Monday, but it was such a waste of time. I was just sitting there and learning nothing new.. That's why I didn't go to Tuesday and won't go this upcoming week at all. I can come home and work through half of the textbook in the same time they do one exercise in the class.. I know that it was my own mistake to go to the beginners course.. it's just too easy. But it's okay. I will just study more at home and once in a while will go to the class.
Work week was pretty busy because my group's other teacher had a surgery so I was alone with my kids. This week will be the same way. I actually like being alone, but it's just so much more work.. Especially planning ect. Last Friday we had a Halloween party. It was so fun! I was dressed up as a Super Woman. I forgot to take photos, but I might ask Jay to take a photo of me later this week (I still have a costume at home).
This weekend was so great. I feel like I got to rest a lot. I cleaned home, had a student come over for a little study time, then made dinner, baked pumpkin pie ect. Only down side was yesterday evening when I had dinner and pumpkin pie - I just ate too much and felt soo bad afterwards. My stomach hurt and I was so weak.. But then Jay and I went out for a walk and it made me feel much better. Today I was much more cautious with meal sizes - I hate overeating! So, today I was feeling so good. I went to the foodshop with Jay to buy next week's food. I also had a student over for an hour, made dinner, had a face mask on, watched my fav tv show and so on. Jay is at work and will come home around 11pm. I hope that this upcoming week will be very nice and easy. Tomorrow I will have a meeting with a parent and on Tuesday I'm going to a Pupper Theater with my kids. And on Friday we'll have a Father's Day Coffee morning...so there's quite much to wait for :) But the most exciting is the fact that it's November..it means next month is December - my favorite time of the year! My Christmas spirit is so eager to come out. This year I want to make my own ginger bread dough, roast some caramelized almons, burn lots of Chirstmas scented candles, put Christmas decorations out (cannot wait!!!) and much much more! I can't wait till snow comes down and I can listen to Christmas songs (I want Pentatonix's new Christmas album!). I am also looking forward to making some Christmas cards from my friends and going Christmas shopping (I have already done some online shopping:P). Oh, there's so much to look forward to, but I know December is a month away. So I better enjoy this last autumn month and try to make the best of it. But last year I felt that December was too short to really enjoy Christmas season, so this year I am not afraid to start a bit earlier with all these Christmas thoughts, treats and preparations :) High Five if you love Christmas time as much as I do :)

Hello October!

October has arrived and I am so pumped about it! The weather is getting colder, I can wear scarves, bake a lot, eat lots of tea ect. I decided to write down some of the things that I want to do and things I am looking forward to this October:

  • Drink a lot of Chai Tea (I'll buy a Tiger Spice Chai Tea from Estonia)
  • Bake a banana bread
  • Bake a pumpkin pie (my very first one ever!)
  • Attend to an Halloween party (also my very first one ever!)
  • Wear an Halloween costume (at the party obviously!)
  • Burn lots of good smelling candles
  • Have long walks and pick up some colorful leaves
  • Do more and more fun fall arts and crafts with my kids in kindergarten!
  • Continue with the weekly dinners' menu (more about this later!)
  • Ride my bicycle as much as possible (before it starts snowing..)
  • Enjoy every little moment because life is good :)

What's up?

When I got back from Turkey I was so excited to just be at home! Home is the best place ever! And I have really been enjoying doing whatever and just being at home! So what have I done?
I have gone by the lake to swim with dad and Jay few times. The next day after I came back from  Turkey I went swimming with dad and o'boy the lake water was so cold. But I got used to it ;) Oh how much I love swimming!!!

I also have been walking every day..or night to be more accurate. Jay has had evening shift at work which means he finishes his work at 11pm. I have walked to his work every night and then we walk back home together. It's a nice reason to go out and walk.. They whole journey takes about an hour :)
And seems like walking isn't enough exercise for me, I went to zumba yesterday. I was thinking how I should do some exercise but I have been too lazy to go out for a run. And since I have summer holidays and plenty of time I decided to go to zumba class. It was so cool :)I love dancing :D I am planning on going next week again.
True
Few days ago I went to Helsinki to meet my friend. We had a nice lunch at Greek cafe and later we just had ice-cream and went to the kindergarten for a minute. I finally had time to go over there and got some of the gifts that kids had left me there. How cute :)
My blog post wouldn't be real if it didn't have food included. I have been loving halvaa that I bought from Turkey. Other than that I have been trying to avoid sweets. I came across of two recipes I wanted to made and today was the day I made them: 1) granola and 2) chia seeds pudding. The granola came out so good! I can't wait to have it for breakfast with greek yogurt tomorrow. The pudding must stay in the fridge overnight. I hope it turns out as nice as it seemed in the recipe :) I might even do blogposts of both of these recipes!

Next Wednesday we are going to Estonia to have a little 4-days vacation. We are going to rent a car so we could move around easily. We already booked an hotel in Pärnu because that's where we want to go. PÄRNU! We wanted to go to Pärnu beach last time we were in Estonia, but weather was not good at all (most days it was raining:S), but this time the weather sould be nice! I am sure we are going to enjoy our stay there. I am actually so happy we are going to Estonia because it'll be my last vacation this summer before my work starts again. When we come back to Finland I still have a week and an half before my work starts, but I will just be home..hunging out with my sister (who is coming over), going swimming, reading books ect.

Talking about books. I have read quite many books this summer. I like writing book reviews, but since I have read quite many I feel like it would take me so much time. So, instead I will probably just mention all of these books soon in a post :) I already ordered 4 new books that should arrive next week! Something else should arrive next week too, but I will write about it when it's actually here! I am excited :D

Oh, I almost forgot. I went to the movies today. Since I knew Jay wouldn't want to see that movie, I went to the movies alone when Jay was at work. I went to see "The Fault in Our Stars". I have read the book so I was sure courious to see the movie. I must say I wasn't very touched... most people in the cinema were crying...like really crying with voice and everything. For some reason that made me laugh :O But I tried to control myself. I find the book much better than the movie.. like it is with most of the books/movies I guess. I think the book was more emotional.

Our vacation in Estonia

Jonathan has mustache!
 My sweet Bonnie :)
 Mister Chuck :)
Ostsime õega endale reisi Türki. Seal on hetkel üle 30 C kraadi sooja. Ma muidu olen selline reisija, kellele meeldib ringi käia, kultuurist osa saada, vaatamisväärsustega tutvuda jme. Mu õde naudib pigem sellist reisi, kus saab päevitada ja tõeliselt puhata. Meie Türgi reis peaks just selline tulema.
Suve plaanideks on peale Türgi reisi lihtsalt kodus puhata. See tuli ülihea! (retsepti sain SIIT).
Samuti on mul juba välja valitud mitu raamatut, mida tahan osta selle kinkekaardi eest, mida mu töökaaslased mulle kinkisid. Too laupäev, üks päev enne mu Eestisse sõitu, pidasime töökaaslastega Nati juures pikniku.
Our picnic was rich of food!
//Jay and I spent a week in Estonia. We had quite a lot of plans what we definitely wanted to do. Like usually, our plans were somehow ruined. Every time we go to Estonia we think we can rest, relax and that we have time to do whatever we have planned. But somehow we always end up doing things that we didn't plan and not fully enjoying the vacation. It's not that we didn't get any rest or didn't enjoy our days, but it's just that we didn't do these fun things we wanted.
When we arrived to Tallin, I went out bowling with my friends. Jay visited his mom and brother. On Monday I had some things to do in Tallin and later we were looking for a dress and shows for my graduation. On Tuesday I went to the movies with my sister and Jay was hunging out with his brother. On Wednesday was my university graduation. After that we went to a cafe in Old Town to have a lunch. On Thursday and Friday we were just at my sister's place and also visited my grandparents. On Saturday we visited Jay's grandparents, went to my friend Laura's place and later had BBQ at my sister's place. And on Sunday evening we came back to Finland. So, that was our roughly our week. We sure did more things each day, like went out to have dinner. I also ate some macroons that I was really looking forward to :) Jay also did some shopping. Me and my sister were looking trips to Turkey the whole time I was there and finally found that one that satisfied us and we booked a vacation in Turkey :) We are leaving this Saturday, 28th June! I am pretty excited. I have never been to a warm country and I have never travelled just with my sister (usually I have travelled either alone or with Jay..). But I am sure we are going to have lots of fun!!!
To be honest, Jay and I both are so happy to be back at home. Travelling is nice, but somehow we never get to fully rest and relax when we are away from home. I guess that's how it ends up with most of the trips. I hope that Turkey trip will be relaxing (I guess there won't be many sightseeings anyway). I am usually that kinds of traveller who likes to see the culture, sightseeings ect. But my sister likes to lay on the beach, get a tan and shop. I guess this kind of trip actually allowes to rest. So, I hope I will enjoy it :)
Other than that everything is great. Weather in Estonia was very miserable (and so it was in Finland). It's also raining today :/ Crazy summer!!!
I cannot believe that my university is totally over. It feels weird, because last 5 years it was a big part of my life. But I am soooo ready to leave it behind :D
Day before I went to Estonia I went to Nati's place for indoor picnic. All my workmates were there and we had lots of fun. They surprised me with such a nice leaving gift: bookstore giftcard and two photos (one of all the teachers, other of my group's kids). I was so sad to leave them all!
I have already a list of books that I want to buy :) Yay!!!I am totally going to enjoy the summer :D //

Spring..yup, it's here ;)

Kevad on mu lemmikaastaaeg.
On mida oodata. Sünnipäev on mul järgmisel nädalal. Pärast seda on tulemas lihavõtted. Sel ajal tuleb mu sõbranna Taanist mulle külla :) Ma ei jõua ära oodata! Ning pärast seda läheme Johannesega Pariisi. Täna ostsin meile Pariisi Justin Timberlake'i kontserdipiletid ka.

//Spring is my favorite season. When I see again green grass, sun and light I instantly have a good mood. Sun gives me so much energy and I am so positive thanks to that (tulips and daffodils make me happy too!) :) I enjoy going to work. On the way I usually read a book in train or listen to audiobook. In the mornings I drink fresh smoothies and I eat lots of fruits in general. My sugarfree month has been so nice for my body and skin :)
Sure, this spring is quite exciting and nervebreaking. We are moving to a new apartment (getting the keys tomorrow). And I have to finish wiriting my master theses. There's a lot to wait. My birthday is next week. After that Easters. My friend is coming to visit me from Denmark for Easter holiday. I cannot wait! And soon after that me and Jay are going to Paris. I bought us tickets to Justin Timberlake's concter for Paris just today! I think this concert will make our trip even more fun and exciting! :)
So, what do I wait from this spring? Lots of sunshine, positive mood, qualitive time with my husband, settling in to our new apartment, guests over, fun birthday, nice trip to Paris and finishing my master theses! //

hello July

Uskumatu, et juba ongi juulikuu! Suvi on täies hoos!
