DIY [toit] parmesani kartulid / [food] parmesan potatoes

Tulin täna tagasi Eestisse. Mõtlesin õhtusöögiks katsetada üht retsepti, mille eile Pinterestist leidsin. Pilt selle retsepti juures oli lihtsalt niii ahvatlev. Nii siis proovisingi järgi. Mis mulle nende kartulite juures peale nende imelise maitse veel meeldib, on see, et neid on nii lihtne teha. Samas tulemus on tavapärastest ahjukartulitest natuke erilisem ja omapärasem. 

Minu kartulid nägid välja sellised:

RETSEPT:

Koostisosad:

6 väikest kartulit, kooritud ja pooleks lõigatud

õli

riivitud parmesani juustu

purustatud küüslauku (või küüslaugu pulbrit)

sool

Valmistamine:

Kalla ahjuplaadile õli. Purusta küüslauk samale plaadile. Samuti riivi parmesan sinna. Sega kõik läbi ja jaota ühtaselt ahjuplaadi põhjale. Aseta pooleks lõigatud kartulid plaadile (mina veeretasin neid enne plaadil olevas õlis). Riivi kartulite peale veel parmesani juustu. Küpseta kartulseid 200 C kraadi juures, kuni nad on küpsed ja kuldpruunid. Maitsesta soolaga. 

Serveerida võib külma hapukoore-rohelisesibula kastmea! Nii hea!

Jay and I came back to Estonia today. It's so good to be back at home! Actually I feel so good whereever I am as long as Jay is with me :) Anyway, I decided to try out one recipe that I found from Pinterest. It was really easy to make and there parmesan baked potatoes taste so good! You can find the recipe in English here!

Ma ükspäev blogisin selle kohta, et Photopoint jagas 10 000 kliendile sooduskuponge, millega saab 21 pilti tasuta ilmutada. Mul tuli täna meelde, et homme on viimane päev nende ilmutamiseks. Seega ma asusungi nüüd ilmutamiseks pilte valima. Kuna ma ilmutan fotosid suhteliselt tihti ja regulaarselt, siis hetkel polegi mul üldse palju pilte, mida tahaks ilmutada. Tõsiselt kaua otsisin. Aga kuna tasuta saab, siis vahet pole, mis pildid need on. Kahju ainult, et preagu polnud kogunenud arvutisse pilte, miad tegelikult ka tahaks väga ilmutada ja fotoalbumisse panna. Aga mõned sain ikka. Üleüldse ma pole viimasel ajal eriti pilte teinud. Endast ja Johannesest pole me jõuludest saati koos pilti teinud :( Seda tuleb muuta! Aga pean endale ruttu uue fotoalbumi ostma. Tean, et kui need 21 fotot, mis ma tellisin, kohale jõuavad, siis vaid mõni üksik neist mahub mu vanasse albumisse. Pean endale millalgi uue muretsema :P

Muide, veetsin täna aega Pinterestis. Mulle meeldivad sealsed diy (do it yourself) ideed. Ehk katsetan varsti mõnda neist järele ning annan blogis teada, kuidas õnnestus :)

Pinterestist leiab muide ka väga lahedaid ja huvitavaid retsepte. Selliseid natuke teistsuguseid :) Ehk katsetan ka mõna neist!

I blogged about photos the other day and how I got a 21 free photo developing cupong. So, I remembered that tomorrow is the last day to place an order. So, I opened a photoalbum on my laptop to decide which photos I want to be developed. But the thing is that I haven't taken photos for a while and so I don't have many photos that I want to be developed. But I managed to get 21 photos together and I placed an order. Now I only need a new photoalbum because my current one is getting full very soon!

I spent some time on Pinterest today. I found really awesome diy photos and ideas. I cannot wait to try them out. I will definitely blog about it too. There are also very interesting food recipes in Pinterest. I might try out some of these too ;)

Till I try some of the diy ideas out, here's an idea for you how to make your pants look more unique!

kevad on käes / spring is here

Täna on see päev, mida ma olen niiiiii kannatamatult oodanud! Lõpuks ometi on KEVAD kohal. Ametlikult. Ega väljas jalutades otseselt aru küll ei saa, et kevad on. Samas on mul alati nii, et kui hinges ootan kevadet ja kui ta lõpuks kohal on, siis isegi õues tunudub kõik kuidagi kevadisem. Selline kevade lõhn tungib ninna!

Täna käisime Johannesega jalutamas. Õigemini läksime keskusesse asju ajama. Oi, kui külm ja tugev tuul õues oli. Tõeliselt jäine tuul. Aga mõnes tuulevaikses kohas, paistis päike peale ning nii palav hakkas. Saa siis sellest ilmast aru. Aga kevad on saabunud, see on selge! :) Ning otseloomulikult olen ma nüüd nii õnnelik. Ma ju jumaldan kevadet! Lilli, päikest, rohelist muru, tenniseid, kuiva asfaltteed, hommikust linnulaulu - kõik see on nii mõnus!

Igatahes, saime keskuses lõpuks ometi kõik asjad aetud. Need, mis praegu ajamist vajasid. Nüüd tuleb natuke oodata.

Koju tulles käisime oma lemmiksöögikohast läbi ning ostsime lõuna kaasa. Ma valisin seekord menüüst midagi sellist, mida ma varem polnud sealt võtnud: friikartulid, kana, sibularõngad ja külm karrikaste. Ma pole seda veel söönud, sest kõht polnud enne tühi...nüüd aga mõtlen, et võiks juba süüa küll.

Vaatasin natuke aega tagasi Pretty Little Liar'i hooaja viimase osa ära. No nii põnev oli! Nüüd ei jõua ära oodata, millal uus hooaeg algab!!!

Homme läheme tagasi Eestisse. Saame veel paar päeva puhata enne, kui mul ülikool ja Johannesel jälle töö algab.

 

Today is the day that I have been waiting for soooo long. Spring is finally here! Officially. When you are walking outside you can't really tell it's already spring. It's still snowy and cold. But at the same time I know in my heart that it's spring and that's why I already can smell it in the air :)

Jay and I went to the citycenter to run some errands. It's was so cold and windy outside. But when it was windless the sun made you feel so warm. Don't try to understand the spring weather! It's sneaky!

Surely, I am so happy and full of energy now that spring has arrived. I love flowers, sun, green grass, my converse, dry roads, birds singing in the morning - it's just wonderful!

Before heading back home we went to out favorite takeaway and ordered some lunch to take with us. I tried something that I hadn't had before: french fries, chicken, onion rolls and carry souce. I hope it's good. I will have it for lunch right now ;)

A bit time ago I watched Pretty Little Liar's last episode of this season. It was so intence and crazy and interesting! I am team TOBY for sure! :D I cannot wait till the next season starts!

We are going back to Estonia tomorrow. Then we can enjoy few more days till Jay must go back to work and I have to go back to university.

supernaine / superwoman

Tunnen, et pean olema supernaine - täna, homme ja ilmselt veel päris tükk aega. Mul pole selle vastu midagi, kui mu kõrval on superman!
Loodan, et homme tuleb tegus päev (lootsin, et see juhtub juba täna, aga näe, lükkub jälle edasi..).

I feel like I have to be a superwoman today and tomorrow and probably quite a while. I don't mind it if I have my superman standing next to me! 

olen kärsitu

Tänane päev oli täis ootusi, lootusi ja mõningasi pidurdusi. Ma olen üldiselt selline inimene, kes tahab kõike ja kiiresti. Eriti kui asi puudutab igasuguseid asjaajamisi. Selles suhtes olen ma oma emasse. Tema oli see, kes meil kodus remonti tegi, kui isa USAs töötas. Samuti on just ema see, kes uusi ideid ellu viib.. ja seda kiiresti. Kui neil isaga mingi plaan tuleb, siis ema tahab seda kohe teostada. Mäletan, et maja ost toimus kõik nii kiiresti. Ja siis majas elades ühel õhtul arutame pereringis, et võiks köögi ja elutoa vahelise seina maha lõhkuda ja teha sellise avatud elutoa koos köögiga. Järgmise hommikul ärkasin kõva kopsimise peale - no muidugi rakendas ema isa juba tööle! :) Aga niimoodi kiirelt tegutsedes saavadki ideed ellu. Sest tihtipeale on elus nii, et kui idee tuleb, kuid kohe seda ei teostata, siis tuleb mingi väsimus või tülpimus peale ning see idee jääbki teostamata. Loodan, et Johannes teab, millesse ta end mässinud on..või õigemini, kellesse :D hehe. Ma tean ise ka, et olen suhteliselt kärsitu osade asjade suhtes..aga seda kõike üllal eesmärgil :)

Igatahes, tänane päev oli pigem selline, mis mulle ei meeldinud.. tahtsime asju ajada, aga no kõik ei sõltu alati meist. Üleüldse Soomes on see asjaajamine mitmeid korde raskendatud..eelkõige on just keeruline vajalike inimestega ühendust saada. Aga see selleks.

Ma veetsin osa oma päevast isa ja õega. Käisime keskuses poes. Mina ostsin koju puuvilju ja juustu-singi crossiante'. Need on parimad! Hiljem käis Johannes ka poes. Tegelikult läks ta üldse meile ühte söögikohta õhtusööki kaasa ostma. Aga see on täpselt poe kõrval, nii et ta käis ka poest läbi ja tõi mulle minu lemmikuid Dumle muffineid! Ühe sõin juba ära, aga ega ühes päevas rohkem ei jaksagi. Need on lihtsalt nii magusad ja rammused!

Oh, need imemaitsvad muffinid!

Long story short. I am very bad at waiting. If I have ideas or I need to do something then I want to get it done fast. I don't understand people who are so lazy to do something they must do. They decided to do that next day and then next day and so on.. Finally they end up not doing it at all...or doing it very late when someone is rushing them. I know I am that person who must rush Jay quite a lot. He's so slow on things.. He has worlds time in his hands. That's what he thinks at least. I don't know... I just can't wait so long. It makes me anxious. I like to get things done and then rest and relax. 
I spent time with my sis and dad today. We went to the shops. Later Jay went to the food takeaway to buy us dinner and he also bought me my favorite Dumble muffins. Yummiee!

väikesed asjad / little things

Ma olengi lõpuks Soomes. Siin on nii tore! Eelkõige sellepärast, et saan Johannesega koos olla! Mu ema ja õde tulid ka eile siia. Käisimegi eile kõik koos Willa kaubanduskeskuses poodides. Seal on põhimõtteliselt kõik poed ja enamgi veel! Esimesene läksime muidugi H&M'i. Sealt leidsin ma endale armasa suvekleidi ja salli. Kleit on selline lindudega ja on tõesti imekena. Mõnus suvine ja mitte väga väga mini. Otsisin H&Mi veebilehelt ja googlist pilti ka, aga ei leidnud. H&Mis on varem olnud samasuguse mustriga kleite, aga teistsuguse lõikega. Mulle meeldib see, mis ma eile ostsis kõige enam :) Aga kui suvel keegi minust pilti teeb, kui ma seda kleiti kannan, siis postitan pildi ka :)
See sall, milla Johannes mulle ostis, on kevadeks super! Ei jõua ära oodata, millal seda juba kanda saan. Muide, kevad algab juba 3 päeva pärast! Ilmad on ka väga kenad olnud. Iga päev päike muudkui paistab ja sulatab vaikselt lund! Nii tore!
Homseks on meil ka Johannesega mitmeid plaane. Eelkõige on kõik seotud asjaajamistega siin Hyvinkääl. Aga kuna mu õde on ka siin, siis plaanime homme ujulasse ujuma minna. Ma nii igatsen ujumist!

Ma lähen koon nüüd oma sokki edasi. See saab mul kohe valmis. Koon seekord hästi värvilisest lõngast. Talv on nii muserdav ja tuhm, et ma igatsen lõbusaid toone!!! Ükspäev kõndisin Tallinnas ja üks naine kõndis mulle kollase jopega vastu. See kohe tõmbas tähelepanu ja tegi tuju paremaks. Siis vaatasi ümberringi ning kõik inimesed olid kas mustas või muudes tumedates toonides. Võib-olla poleks talv nii masendav ja muserdav, kui inimesed kannaksid lõbusamates toonides riideid?! Aga ega ma ise muidugi parem pole - endal mul talvejope ju täitsa musta värvi :/

Johannes jäi eile haigeks. Meie 2,7 aasta kooselu jooksul pole ta kunagi haige olnud. Aga eile oli kõrge palavikuga voodis. Täna ka. Tõin isa juurest talle palavikualandajaid ning ta jõi palju vett ning higistas teki all. Nüüd on juba parem. Ta peab õhtul tööle minema :/ Loodan, et selleks ajaks on ta täitsa terve!

I am in Finland now. It's been fun here! My mom and sis came here yesterday too and we all went to the shops together! Sure, first thing we landed was H&M. I found a really nice summer dress and scarf there. The dress has such a cute bird print on it. I tried to find the photo of it from H&M webpage, but I couldn't. I also googled it, but no results. There are sooo many dresses in google with the same print, but different cut. I think my dress is the nicest! If summer comes and I get caught in a photo wearing that dress then I will post it :)

The scarf Jay bought me is perfect for spring time (spring starts in 3 days!!!).

I hope tomorrow is going to be a very successful day! We have quite a few important things to do!

Anni also wants to go to swimming tomorrow, so I might go along!

The weather has been so sunny here! When I arrived to Hyvinkää on Thursday night it was sooo cold! I was freezing. But after that every day has been very sunny and much warmer! I really hope the snow melts fast here too (in Tallinn there's barely any snow left!).

I am going to knit a sock soon. Jay is in asleep. He got ill yesterday. He had high temperature. I am taking care of him now! What sucks is that he must go to work tonight :/ I hope that long sleep and medications work and he will get better soon!

vaca

I was checking my email so many times on Wednesday night. I was waiting an email for my Finnish teacher with the exam results. Well, I got her email on Thursday morning - I got A :) Yay! That made me so happy :) I knew then that I can totally enjoy my vacation in Finland! I arrived to Helsinki at 9.30pm yesterday. Then I took a train to Hyvinkää. Jay just came from his work. But what sucked was the fact that he had to do a double shift..which meant he just let me in, had a sandwich and went want to work :/ Night shift! I was quite sad because I really wanted to be with him. But thanfully I was so tired that I just went to the bed and fell asleep so qucikly.

Right now I am at my dad's. Jay is at work. I am so glad he has next two days free :) My mom and sister are coming to Hyvinkää tomorrow too. We will probably hung out with them too! Mom is coming just for the weekend, but my sis will stay longer. We will go shopping together! And eat all the goods sweets - Dumble donuts!!!!!

It's 9pm already and I am craving for a good breakfast! :P Gotta wait till morning!

Sun is setting and I am enjoying the "almost free feeling". I had Finnish exam about an hour ago. I am so eager to know what grade I got. Teacher said she will send us email with the results tonight. I hope she does it fast. 

I wonder how many exams have I taken in my whole life?! The number should be big I suppose because in university we have had quite many exams in these 4 years. I now think that if someone says they have to take an exam it sounds like nothing. But there are actually so many people around us who think of it as a big deal...I mean, if they haven't been to university they might think exam is something very hard and awful and something unusual. But I guess for me it's something that I have really got used to (although I wish exams didn't exsist!).

I am going to Finland tomorrow evening. I cannot wait! I sooo need it. The vacation! And I miss Jay! 

I already packed my bag. I really want to rest and relax in Finland so I will take knitting stuff with me and a book. And my laptop. I still have to watch the latest episodes of Pretty Little Liars and The Lying Game. I am going to watch them when I am on my way to Helsinki on the boat :)

It's 13th today. I love 13ths of each months because 13 is me and Jay's number :) It's our 2 years and 7 months anniversary today. We surely don't celebrate each month anniversary, but we always keep it in mind and tell each other something extra nice at that day :):) 

I started thinking today about how long I have been blogging. It should be my blog's 4th birthday soon (some time in spring..I gotta check out the date of my first post). I have been blogging in English ever since I started blogging, but I am thinking now that maybe I should start blogging in Estonian instead. It's just a thought though...but I am considering it. I think it would be nice to write in my mother tongue for a while. I might still write a little abstact in English. Hmm...I will think about it..

Anyway, I am off to the kitchen to cook a dinner (chicken and boiled root vegetables). After that I want to watch Home and Away and start knitting a new sock :)

My grandpa has had photography as his hobby for his whole life. When my mother was younger my grandpa always made mom and her sister to dress up and go to the basement where was grandpa's "photostudio". He always put there different objects (flowers, chairs ect) and took photos of my mom and her sister. They developed the photos in the bathroom in red light. I think it's so magical when the photo slowly appears to the paper. When I was very young my grandpa still developed photos in his bathroom. And I have seen how it works for a few times. I have so good memories of it! :)

So, obviously my mother has tons and tons of photos of her childhood. I know some people who don't have many photos of their parents and larger family, but my grandpa took photos in every event and every day! And of course I have soooo many childhood photos too. My mom has taken so many photos of my and my sisters. I really appreciate it because I truly love looking at these. It's true that photos capture a moment that's gone forever. Thanks for the photos we can remember special moments forever. 

Even now whenever we have somebody's birthday and grandpa is there too he takes lots of photos and later sends them to our email :) 

I guess I am like my grandpa and mom. I also like to take photos, get them developed and put them to the photoalbum. I have so many full photoalbums. And once in a while I just look the photos I have in there :) I am happy that my children can one day see photos of their parents and we can tell them about what happened when the photo was taken. 

Photopoint.ee is very generous because it's their birthday. So, 10 000 first clients can get 21 photos developed for free :) All you need to do is to get your free code from their facebook page. I did that and I am eager to send in the order. But because so many people is ordering at the same time their website is very slow. I better wait for few days. The code expires on 22nd March. So I have time enough to figure out which photos I want to get developed and maybe I can take some new photos in these when I am in Finaland.

Well, in the end I am going to put a photo that my grandpa sent me today via skype. He took it while travelling with grandmom...they like driving around Estonia and visiting different manors. Grandpa takes photos of everything they visit :) Every time I go to their place I can see what interesting places they hav visited. 

sunshine

It's 2pm, I am sitting besides my desk and enjoying the sun that's coming through the window. Yes, it's another sunny day! Whenever I wake up in the morning and see that sun is shining it automatically brightens up my day! Some of my friends have called me SunShine. Probably with a reason :) 

I had to be in university by 9.30am today. We had a presentations day. Before the speech I was nervous like always. But when I was in front of the class and talking about my master research I was very confident and not nervous at all! :) In my group were only 10 people, so it went pretty fast. Before going home, I stopped by at the post office to send a package to Rebecca. 

At home I had a cup of tea because I was pretty cold. Eventhough it's sunny outside, it's still cold - right now -7 C degrees. So, I drank another tea that Rebecca sent me. It's probably my favorite tea now! So delicious! 

The sun gives me energy and somehow I got inspirational. I started reading some articles in English about reading and motivation and other topics that are connected to my research. I found pretty many interesting articles that I can use! That made me happy. I already wrote some things down. Thanfully I have quite a bit time to write it.

Like I said I am enjoying the sun right now. And eating pomelo :) I am going to Finnish course by 4pm. It's my last class before the test. I studied for the test quite a lot yesterday. I will definitely study tomorrow too. I am actually going to teach at Rocca al Mare school tomorrow and on Wednesday. So, I have pretty busy two days ahead! Well, if the weather keeps getting warmer and warmer, I have even more reason to be happy :)
